ClaraVision is the University Archives digital collection of photographs, postcards, artifacts, textual documents, and other ephemera in the Archives holdings. Named after Santa Clara University’s patron saint St. Clare, and the patron saint of television, ClaraVision contains images that reflect the rich visual history of our institution, and the people, places, and events associated with it.
Documenting the time continuum from the founding of Mission Santa Clara in 1777, through the establishment of Santa Clara College in 1851, to our present-day Santa Clara University, the images capture:
- student life
- athletic events
- the built environment
- Mission-period life at Mission Santa Clara
- students
- faculty
- staff
- and others affiliated with Santa Clara
