Color postcard of the Hotel Vendome. The Hotel Vendome opened in February, 1889. It was one of the finest hotels in California. Set on 13 landscaped acres, it was demolished in 1930 to make way for houses.

Black-and-white photograph of the collapsed north wing of the Vendome Hotel in San Jose. The hotel was built in 1904. There was one death in the hotel as a result of the 1906 earthquake.
